There, he protects the dead against threats from the living, the living against the extremism and intolerance of the shadowy Ecclesiae and their supporters, and the innocent against anyone (dead or alive) that would harm them.

Growing up as a teenager on the streets of Amsterdam, the young Hauke is still learning to control his Talent. Living at the ADM squat, he experiences love and heartbreak for the first time, but a murderer is taking the lives of Talented residents and leaving no souls behind. Then the Covid years bring their own perils as creatures from the “Lands Beyond Death” seek to prey on the weak and vulnerable; creatures that only a Veil-Walker like Hauke can stop.
